Overcome Pain: The 30 Day Walk Away from Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica

by coachz5 on June 4, 2010

Join in the 2010 Second Annual Walk Away from Neck, Back, and Sciatic Nerve Pain

Chronic back pain at any location, from neck pain to sciatica, can and often does adversely affect the quality of life. Unfortunately, many people, including an incredible number of many medical practitioners, will prescribe bed rest and inactivity as a treatment strategy for acute and chronic spine-related pain. In almost every instance, inactivity is the wrong strategy and will ultimately exacerbate back pain.

Study after study has demonstrated that activity, to include stretching, walking, bike riding, and other medically approved and supervised exercise programs, will lead to pain relief faster, more effectively, and more completely than bed rest and inactivity.

But you need to be precise! You need a plan and you must stick to it…one step at a time!

With that in mind, I challenge you to join me for 30 days. The 30 Day Walk Away from Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica was a huge success last year and I am willing to bet it will be again! People from all over the world emailed me, Skyped me, even telephoned me at home to let me know they were walking and that for the first time in years they were pain free…reclaiming their lives. Pain free lives!

Talk about exciting!

So, join me! Watch the video and devise your own program. If you are having trouble?; Contact me and I will help you and I will be your accountability partner for the next 30 days.

Make sure you get cleared medically, get a comfortable pair of walking shoes (e.g., New Balance, Asics, or Skechers), buy padded socks that will cushion your feet and absorb sweat, and make sure you have a water bottle, a cell phone, and a notepad or hand help recorder. I will cover why you need these things in depth in the next post but for now know that they are necessary and will pay dividends.

Additionally, if you have the right shoes, socks, shorts, sweats, and supplies you are more likely to stay with it…you will have n more skin in the game!

Again, watch the video and contact me anytime!

Take care, best wishes and get walking!

Contact me anytime!

Paul,

All the best to you my friend! I know it has been a long haul but I also know that now that they know what was at the heart of it all, they have addressed it properly. You are also a very smart guy and know what it will take to get back once you are able to return to activity.

Get through physical therapy and then stay active and you will be fine.

It’s funny! I was just thinking about you on my walk last night. No kidding!

Take care of yourself Paul and get well soon!

John
