Rest and Exercise: Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief in 30 Days

Day 4 of the 30 Day Walk Away from Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica

The Bad Back Guy, Rest, and Strategies for Beginning an Exercise Program

The Huffington Post ran an article today entitled Overtreated: Pain in the back widely overtreated. I think there is an echo in here because I have been saying that for over a year here and elsewhere online…as has almost every expert I can think of from the federal government to the Mayo Clinic.

So, what is going on? If everyone is aware of this, why are so many people getting too much pain medication, undergoing too many expensive procedures, including surgeries, and so few people being more aggressive about spreading the word?

Because back pain is a multi-billion dollar a year industry!

Here are some questions for you:

What would happen if everyone found out that herniated discs usually resolve themselves, at least as far as the pain goes, in a year or so?

What would happen if people found out the failure rate for certain types of back surgeries is 85-90%?

What would happen if people knew up front how seriously addictive certain pain medications are?

I could go on but the answer should, by now, be clear…it’s about the bucks!

Imagine if people were told to take a walk for 20 minutes every night for 90 days? Heck, for 30 days?

No boat payment for the surgeon this month!

Am I being facetious? Perhaps. But just a bit!

The fact is, most neck pain, back pain, and sciatica resolves itself in a matter of days or weeks.

If you want to recover sooner, get active!

So, start walking with us today! It is Day 4 of the 30 day Walk Away from Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica…but for you it can be the first day of the rest of your life. It can be a pain free life if you simply get active and follow a few simple strategies.

Imagine reclaiming your life and living neck, back, and sciatic nerve pain free!

It is not only possible, it is probable! But it takes a decision and a first step!

My problem started over a month ago. I accidentally kicked a coffee table and broke my middle toe on my left leg. The next day it was still swollen a little bruised and I was limping pretty bad.
I continued to work because I had just started a new job. Two days later I start getting “traveling” extremely painful cramps in that leg. For 3 weeks I barely slept at all. The only way to get relief was to get on all fours in the bed with my knees pulled up close to my chest.. it was just for relief because I couldn’t sleep that way. I went to the ER after about of week of this and they didn’t xray and said I had a broke toe and some sciatica.. gave me 2 shots, prednisone, 500 mg naproxen and vicoden. It helped very little. After about 2 1/2 weeks, its a little better. I had to get up an hour early just to be able to practice walking so I could go to work..
Its now been over a month and the traveling cramps are gone but now I am still walking with a limp and I feel pain around my ankle and tibia. I also have noticed darker blue viens. Not really dark but I didn’t have them before. I get tingling sensations like my leg was asleep and was waking up but my leg wasn’t asleep. My left buttock is catching the most pain when I walk and its like a tight rubber bank being wound extra tight all of a sudden. Pain is so sharp, I feel like I will pass out. It doesn’t happen every time I walk but I would say every other time..

I have a grandson with severe & multiple disabilities that I have been holding, moving, bathing, pushing for almost 9 years now and Im sure that didn’t help this situation.

When I stand for a long time, the left bottom part of my spine aches at about my hip sockets… I was thinking of going to the orthopedic doctor but have no insurance.
How long is too long to go without getting this checked out and should I be concerned about the viens on the side of my ankle? Im 45 years old… I’ve never had any back problems before or any other problems.
