Life Without Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica: An Apology!

Overcoming Chronically Acute Neck, Back, and Sciatic Nerve Pain: A Life Reclaimed!

First and foremost, I would like a apologize for not posting in a month! I had no idea it had been a month, time has flown by!

There was a time, not too long ago, when the days crawled and were filled with horrible, debilitating neck pain, back pain, and sciatic nerve pain. In other words, my life was consumed with pain!

Fast forward a year and a little but and I am literally pain free!

How great is that?

More importantly, what does that mean for you?

Well, if you listen to some of my attackers, and yes, everyone has them on the Internet, particularly if you have been around for any length of time…nothing!

I think the attacks have been almost as painful as the neck pain, back pain, and sciatic nerve pain were…almost!

The attacks on my character, attacks for trying to help others reclaim their lives as I have, are quite perplexing.

Have some people become so jaded, so cynical they cannot imagine someone dedicating themselves to encouraging others to take the first steps toward a pain free life, as I have?

The attacks come about once a week, usually on YouTube, and usually by someone who has had an account for quite some time, an anonymous account.

Interestingly, most of the attacks come from people who do not use their names online at all…and they have never contributed a single video, good or bad!

So, I should consider the source, right?

I guess so!

The world has indeed changed and most people are still good, I know that. Most people simply want to get through the day unscathed, contribute to the lives of those they love and care about, and make a living. beyond that, most people don’t have time to attack anyone else…much less think about doing it!

So, why do they do it?

Who knows?

Perhaps they have a different sort of pain, the sort of pain that comes from frustration, negativity, depression, self-loathing, and self-hatred!

Again, who knows?

Ultimately, I can’t be concerned with them.

I block them and move on…add another post, another video, and another article…perhaps helping someone else.

I want to thank those of you who have commented, emailed, and even phoned or Skyped to tell me how much you like, and have missed, my posts….it means the world to me!

I made up my mind when I started down this road that if I helped one person, that would be enough, I would keep going and continue contributing.

I know I have helped more than one, you’ve told me so!

Again, thank you so much!

TuffGuy and I have missed our walks and telling you about them. The weather in the Cleveland area has been rough. We might get a walk in tonight…the sidewalks are clear and I miss saying hello to all the doormen along Detroit Avenue here in Lakewood.

I have ventured out a few times in the snow over the last month to do my 5 to 7 miles but it is not the same without TuffGuy. The doormen seem to agree, they always ask where he is!

Life has been busy. I started a new company and made a big sale my first week! I love it because it is one more way to help people.

Over a year ago Tony Robbins did something nice for me. I was at my lowest point in years and he offered a kindness, asking only that I pay the kindness forward. Tony does a lot of that, it seems!

Well, I have been honoring that request ever since. In fact, the kindness he offered was never “cashed in!” The fact that he offered was enough.

Others were just as kind while my family struggled, struggled just to keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. I can never repay the many kindnesses, many would never accept repayment!

So, I Pay it Forward!

Funny how things work out, isn’t it?

So, I will continue to write, suggest, push, and prod as long as one person reads my posts and is encouraged to do as I have, take back your life.

Living pain free is amazing!

After so many years of terrible, debilitating neck pain, back pain, and sciatic nerve pain?

To be pain free is wonderful! I have a new life. You can too!

You can live pain free if you take the first step.

The first step is the toughest one, every one after that gets easier until it is finally wonderful.

Neck pain, back pain, and sciatica do not have to be a permanent reality, you can overcome them!

Just give it a shot! What do you have to lose?

Just the pain!

Best wishes and thank so much for being a reader.

Please, leave a comment!

Ultimate Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Strategies: Leg Workout – Machines

Begin With the Foundation: Stretching, Walking, and Exercising…The Legs are the Foundation!

The legs are quite literally the foundation of any neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief strategy. I started with stretching and walking, slow and steady but adding a bit more each and every time over a period of days, weeks, and months…now, it is time for more!

This is a remarkable thing, that I am even able to speak to you about a workout I am doing for any part of my body…but especially the legs! A year ago, housebound, depressed, and suffering from chronically acute neck pain, back pain, and sciatica…I was The Bad Back Guy!

As you progress, you must begin with machines rather than squats or lunges. The machines offer more control and a gradual approach is possible. Having suffered with neck pain, back pain, and sciatica for many years, the machines allow me to isolate certain body parts while minimally involving the synergistic and antagonistic muscle groups, this is safer and more effective as I begin.

You may be able to do the same thing, once you get to a certain level with stretching and walking and if, and only if, you feel comfortable in the gym or have someone experienced in neck and back issues to work with you.

I will go into greater depth on this topic but for now, I suggest you visit:

Ultimate Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Strategies to review the subject, as well.

Watch the videos and read the articles, get an idea of what is entailed.

We will build from there in the coming days and weeks as we continue to stretch, walk, and exercise for neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief!

Abdominal Crunches for Neck Pain, Back Pain and Sciatica Relief!

The Nautilus Abdominal Crunch Machine is a Dinosaur!

But it is the only way to do abdominal crunches for individuals suffering from neck pain, back pain, and sciatica!

I am not a big fan of ab crunches for neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica relief or as an exercise strategy in general. However, they are much more effective than situps and the old style Nautilus Abdominal Crunch machine was and is an awesome exercise for people suffering from neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica because it effectively isolates the abdominal muscles in a way regular crunches cannot.

I never could have accomplished this sort of exercise movement, or anything close to it, 6 months ago, or even 4 months ago! It has only been by constant and never ending improvement over time that I have been able to do the things I can now do, achieving the level of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief I now experience.

The problem on the Internet, particularly when it comes to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief and treatment information is that there is so much bad information out there, particularly on some of the pseudo-blogs. Please be careful when deciding to follow any advice online.

Contact me anytime for information and to verify I am who I say I am and that I have your best interests at heart!

Excess Weight and Obesity: The First Major Neck, Back and Sciatic Nerve Pain Factor

Losing Weight is the First Step to Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief!

The five major contributory factors leading to and/or exacerbating neck pain, back pain, and sciatica are excess weight and obesity, muscle weakness, muscle imbalance, inadequate diet and nutrition, and dehydration.

The first of the contributory factors is probably the most difficult to deal with, is also the one most people see their medical practitioner for every day relating to neck pain, back pain and sciatica…that factor is excess weight and obesity.

Interestingly, if excess weight and obesity are adequately addressed early in the treatment process, not only is neck pain, back pain, and sciatica significantly reduced or eliminated, but the other four factors, as well as many of the peripheral factors also fall by the wayside.

Weight loss is a challenge many people wrestle with on a daily basis for a myriad of reasons, everything from medical issues to vanity. However, if the proper weight loss strategy is introduced and followed, the neck pain, back pain, and sciatica sufferer will experience a marked improvement in their overall standard of living, at least as related to the neck pain, back pain, and sciatic nerve pain level.

The video below deals with some of the issues affecting individuals suffering from chronic spine-related pain. It is a first step! Many of the steps in an effective weight loss program have been covered here and at Ultimate Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Strategies.

Overall, it takes a commitment, followed by a first step, and the application of an intelligent program designed to deal primarily with the five factors listed above and elsewhere. If you are ready for neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief…if you are ready to take back your life? Watch this video and then click the link in the PS!

The rest is up to you!

Best wishes for a neck pain, back pain, and sciatica free life!

The 5 Factors and Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Strategies!

Revisiting and Building Upon Our Understanding of the 5 Factors and How to Relieve Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Longterm!

We have talked about the 5 factors I feel are most responsible for neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. Of course there are others, like stress and stress-related and trauma-related events. However, most of these can be traced back to some sort of issue with overall spine health, and spine health is often associated with one of the 5 contributory factors:

1) Excess weight and/or obesity

2) Muscle weakness (to include atrophy due to a sedentary lifestyle)

3) Muscle imbalances (perhaps the least understood of the 5 factors)

4) Inadequate diet and nutrition (a combination of the proper foods at the right times and in the right amounts)

5) Dehydration (or lack of proper hydration due to inadequate fluid intake)

The 5 factors are, once again, not the only factors contributing to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica, but they are the ones that in my opinion set an individual up for:

1) Spine-related stress injuries

2) Being more susceptible to traumatic injuries to the spine

3) Being more susceptible to age-progressive phenomena (e.g., degenerative disc disease)

4) And a myriad of other pathologies and injuries to the musculoskeletal system generally, and the spine specifically.

Once the musculoskeletal system begins to weaken, there is a ripple effect throughout the body, both in terms of structure and function. As the body struggles to adapt and to compensate for weaknesses, deficiencies, and other spine-health related issues, neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica become a reality. As we age, the effects of, and the overall breakdown in the system has lasting consequences, some of which cannot be offset or reversed. However, many may be slowed and some may be reversed with the proper spine-health strategy.

Meaning, you must deal with the 5 factors!

The proper neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief and treatment strategy, combined with a focus on musculoskeletal health generally, and spine health specifically, will lead to a significant reduction in present pain levels and a reduction of future stress-related and traumatic injuries to the spine.

We will deal with each of the 5 factors in depth over the next week, as we begin to wrap up the current The 30 Day Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief and Treatment Challenge.

It is my hope that by understanding each of these key factors you will have the necessary information to begin your journey towards a pain free life…a life free of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.

The Recumbent Bike is an Awesome Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Exercise Tool.

The recumbent bike is a low-impact device almost anyone can use with very little risk of injury or chance of exacerbating a current spine-related condition. Not only is the exercise itself extremely beneficial, it is a year round, all-weather exercise strategy.

When beginning a neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica relief strategy the recumbent bike offers some real advantages over just about any other form of exercise.

Not only is the recumbent bike simple to operate, it is relatively inexpensive, much cheaper than a year’s membership at the local health club, and a whole lot more convenient. Given today’s easy financing, even the more expensive models are easily within reach for most people, and certainly cheaper than the lost revenue associated with neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.

When considering medical co-pays, lost time at work, diminished standard of living, being in pain day in and day out, the recumbent bike is a great deal!

My purpose is not to sell you a recumbent bike here, my purpose is to make it clear that this is an affordable neck pain, back pain, and sciatica exercise method that is within reach…and it works!

The best part about using a recumbent bike for your neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief and treatment exercise strategy is that if you find you are having difficulties that day, feel some slight discomfort while exercising, or you’ve just reached your tipping point for that day, you can simply climb off and, if you are home, jump in the shower and go on with the rest of your day, or if you are at the gym, simply jump off, jump in the shower, and go home to begin again the next day.

How great is that?

It’s not like walking or running where you might be several miles from home and have to call someone to come and get you, if you have watched my previous videos and read my previous articles, and have made sure to have an emergency kit with you on your walks or runs…to include a cell phone!

The recumbent bike, whether using one in your home, which is optimal, or at the gym, like I do, makes it possible to say, “That’s it for today!” and not have it be a major hurdle…like if you are 2 miles from home when you find you have had enough!

The recumbent bike is a low-impact neck pain, back pain, and sciatica exercise tool that works, enhancing aerobic fitness, dealing with muscle weakness and imbalances when applied along with other methods we have and will continue to discuss, and allows you to deal with the number one reason most people have and continue to have neck pain, back pain, and sciatica: excess weight and/or obesity.

20-30 minutes on the recumbent bike 3-5 days a week will enhance aeoribic fitness and muscle strength, while at the same time dealing with muscle imbalances, when used in conjunction with the proper stretching routine, and will ensure weight loss. In fact, using a recumbent bike just 30 minutes a day 4 days a week will lead to rapid and permanent weight loss…provided you continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, in the future. The increased activity, particularly if you have been sedentary for an extended period of time, will lead to rapid weight loss and the resulting neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief will be immediately apparent and, quite frankly, a welcomed change!

The recumbent bike is not the be-all-to-end-all but it is the single most important tool I use for overall fitness and for neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief. Using the recumbent bike allows for a spillover effect into several areas of my life and the overall improvement in quality of life is immediately apparent. Given just one neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica relief and treatement strategy for exercise? I would pick the recumbent bike…
